Position: Device Development Engineer 3

Device Development Engineer 3 – Millipore Sigma

Join us to work on cutting‑edge filtration technologies for therapeutic biopharmaceuticals at our Bedford, MA campus. This role offers domestic and international travel and does not provide sponsorship for work authorization.

Your Role

You will lead R&D projects focused on novel filtration technologies, collaborating cross‑functionally with R&D, Manufacturing, Product Management, Sales, Quality and Procurement to drive product ideas through development and validation phases toward commercialization.

Who You Are

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field, and 5+ years of experience in an engineering role
  • Master’s Degree in Applied Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field, and 3+ years of experience in an engineering role
  • PhD in Applied Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field, and 1+ year of experience in an engineering role
  • 2+ years of experience working in 3D CAD software
  • 2+ years of experience with design of experiments (DOE) and statistical analysis methods
  • 2+ years of experience working in a laboratory environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Creativity, knowledge, and skills to successfully execute challenging projects with high complexity
  • Demonstrated technical leadership and problem‑solving abilities
  • New product development experience
  • Fluent in Minitab or equivalent statistical software
  • R&D or manufacturing experience in filtration device making
  • Fluent in CAD design software such as Solid Works and/or Creo
  • Basic understanding of intellectual property and patent filings
  • Evidence of staying current with state‑of‑the‑art principles through literature, conferences, and workshops
  • Hands‑on, laboratory‑technique problem solver
  • Experience in conducting development and validation work
  • Project management experience
  • Excellent communication skills and teamwork aptitude
  • Fluent in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)

Pay Range: $80,400 – $140,300. The actual compensation offered will consider location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job‑related factors. The position may also be eligible for sales or performance‑based bonuses.
