Our site in Bedford, MA is seeking a UPE Process Engineering Co‑Op to join our team for the Spring 2026 season. This assignment is intended to be 6 months in duration. The role will aid the process engineer in driving process improvements, maintaining SOPs and training, and supporting day‑to‑day troubleshooting and line work. Typical improvement efforts will improve quality, drive down cost, and/or increase output.

• Develop a plan for updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as needed
• Data mining and analysis in Minitab
• Make conclusions and recommendations based on data analysis
• Perform yield analysis
• Participate in Gemba walks and look for lean and safety improvements
• Perform membrane characterization testing

• Data‑driven and hands‑on approach
• Proficient in Excel
• Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner
• Knowledge of Minitab or willingness to learn
• Curiosity, asking questions, and providing your input to the team
• Ability to drive tasks independently and work in a team environment

• Working toward a degree in chemical, mechanical or similar engineering
• Graduation date of Spring 2026 or later

• Must be a currently enrolled student
• Available to work 40 hours a week, M‑F (8 a‑5 p) beginning in January through June
• Must be familiar with the university’s requirements to participate in a co‑op program
• PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  
  Ability to stand for portions of the day and lift rolls up to about 10 lbs
