Unitech Supply develops and supplies products for the pharmaceutical and healthcare industries, including medical and pharmaceutical consumables, injection supplies, packaging materials, and cold chain shipping solutions. We work closely with customers in the United States and R&D and manufacturing partners in China.
Position OverviewWe are seeking a commercially minded, technically capable Product Manager with 2–4 years of experience in medical device or related product development and marketing. This person will serve as a key bridge between customers, business development, and R&D—understanding customer needs, converting them into actionable product requirements, and coordinating development and launch activities.
The role reports directly to the CEO and emphasizes hands-on execution rather than people management.
Key Responsibilities- Serve as the primary product liaison between customers, sales/business development, and R&D and manufacturing teams; ensure clear, timely two-way communication.
- Gather customer feedback, identify unmet needs, and translate commercial and clinical-use requirements into clear product specifications, priorities, and development briefs for R&D.
- Work with R&D to evaluate technical feasibility, review prototypes and samples, clarify trade-offs, and ensure proposed solutions address customer needs.
- Coordinate product development projects from concept through testing, validation, manufacturing readiness, and commercial launch; track schedules, milestones, and open issues.
- Support product marketing, including market and competitor research, product positioning, value propositions, pricing input, sales materials, and product launch plans.
- Collaborate with customers on product evaluations, technical questions, sample feedback, and improvement requests; communicate progress and next steps.
- Maintain product requirements, specifications, test results, competitive analyses, and project documentation; support quality and regulatory coordination as appropriate.
- Focus on medical and pharmaceutical consumables, injection supplies, packaging, and related healthcare products; assist with other development initiatives, including potential OTC products.
- Provide concise, regular updates and recommendations to the CEO on customer requirements, development progress, risks, and market opportunities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Life Sciences, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in medical devices or related healthcare product development, product management, or product marketing.
- Ability to understand customer needs and translate them into practical requirements for technical and R&D teams.
- Strong communication, cross-functional coordination, analytical, and project management skills.
- Comfort working directly with customers and collaborating with technical teams and suppliers.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work full-time on-site in the Boston area.
- Experience with medical or pharmaceutical consumables, injection products, packaging, or cold chain solutions.
- Familiarity with product testing, validation, manufacturing processes, and healthcare quality or regulatory requirements.
- Experience coordinating with overseas R&D or manufacturing teams, particularly in China.
- Mandarin Chinese proficiency is helpful but not required.
A proactive, organized product professional who can listen carefully to customers, communicate effectively with engineers and R&D colleagues, and keep projects moving. The ideal candidate balances commercial judgment with technical curiosity and is comfortable working hands-on in a growing international business.
What We OfferDirect collaboration with the CEO; meaningful ownership of product initiatives; exposure to international R&D, manufacturing, and customers; and opportunities for professional growth as Unitech expands.
