Join a highly technical infrastructure team supporting enterprise and lab environments for a leading research and national-security focused organization
. This role is focused on modernizing Linux platforms
, including RHEL 6/7 → 8/9 migrations
, automation, and enterprise services support.

• Lead RHEL platform modernization
  , including upgrades from RHEL 6/7 to 8/9
• Configure, harden, and support Linux/NIX systems in enterprise and lab environments
• Automate system administration tasks using Chef and Ansible
• Support enterprise services including email, logging, web, and network services
• Write and maintain scripts using Bash, Power Shell, Python, or Ruby
• Participate in Agile project teams and infrastructure initiatives
• Troubleshoot complex issues using logs, monitoring tools, and vendor knowledge bases
• Maintain documentation and act as a subject‑matter expert for assigned platforms

• 5+ years of Linux/NIX systems engineering experience
• Strong hands‑on experience with Red Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
• Proven experience with Chef and Ansible automation
• Experience with OS migrations or upgrades in enterprise environments
• Working knowledge of CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, and version control (Git)
• Understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, firewalls)
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience

• Estimated hourly range: $65–$70/hr (W‑2)
• Final rate within this range will be based on skills, experience, and interview results
