Asset Manager
Location:
Hanscom AFB, MA. Salary range: $110,000 - $125,000 annually (estimated). Job status:
Full-Time;
Salaried. Requires an active Secret security clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree and 12–15 years of experience, 5 of which must be in the DoD.
- Comprehensive knowledge of systems acquisition and program management principles, policies, and practices; knowledge of DoD and Air Force roles and relationships.
- Knowledge of asset and service management solutions.
- Strong organizational skills to streamline processes.
- Ability to organize and interpret large amounts of data.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience working independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Certified Software Asset Manager (CSAM)
- Certified Hardware Asset Management Professional (CHAMP)
- ITIL v3 Foundation Certification
- Maintain the lifecycle repository for all assets within the assigned program.
- Work with Financial Management and the Program Manager on budget recommendations, funding reallocations, and sustainment renewals.
- Track, validate, and update all hardware and software assets against the program baseline.
- Review Asset Management Forms and Product Support Forms delivered by system integrators/subcontractors, draft Comment Resolution Matrix letters, and develop remediation actions.
- Assist with preparing and reviewing the Asset Management/Product Support sections of SOWs, PWSs, TRDs, CDRLs, and TMs.
- Validate OEM renewals and review List of Materials from vendors for inconsistencies.
- Validate End‑of‑Life/End‑of‑Support dates with sustainment and engineering teams.
- Advise Program Managers of obsolescence and sustainment issues, and track tech refresh strategies with engineers.
- Review quarterly reports and prepare briefings for management status of the system.
- Interface with License Management on license issues, tracking, and reporting.
- Actively participate in cross‑functional Integrated Product Teams with matrixed personnel.
