We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to become the newest member of our maintenance team. The position will be based out of our East Coast Seafood Corporate Headquarters, also known as Seatrade, located on the New Bedford, MA waterfront.

Technicians also support our second location, also located on the New Bedford waterfront. Travel to and from both locations will be necessary.

• Ensuring the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines.
• Following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer s instructions, and engineering specifications to troubleshoot malfunctions.
• Reading and interpreting equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Locating sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments to diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and adjust.
• Performing regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
• Using a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters to perform duties.
• Detecting faulty operations, defective material and reporting those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
• Completing daily/weekly/monthly checklists.
• Complying with safety regulations, BRC and OSHA regulations, and maintaining a clean and orderly work area.

• You enjoy collaborating with a wide range of skill sets. In this role, you ll deal with multiple personality types and a wide spectrum of skill sets.
• You pay attention to the details. This is some of the most important work we do!
• You prefer to fix an issue before it becomes a problem.
• You have 3-5 years of previous maintenance experience in a production environment.
• Strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and industrial skills with some PLC experience and HVAC.
• You have strong experience in welding, electrical and mechanical skills.
• You are self-motivated to complete tasks in a timely manner and have perseverance to follow through to completion.

Our corporate headquarters reside in a 66,000 square foot building on a working waterfront in Massachusetts, with new state-of-the-art lobster processing lines, placing lobster and scallop processing under one roof. This dual production remains an incredible benefit to the company s broad customer base and offers production innovations to complement the company s seafood appetizers and entrée offerings. In addition, the company is also producing an expanded fish species line that includes popular fish types in commodity packs and value added marinades/dry rubs.
