Account Manager / Sales Representative – Bay Area, Northern CA

We are seeking a sales representative to cover the Pacific Northwest territory representing our Liquid Handling portfolio of instruments. The ideal candidate would be based in the Bay Area or near San Francisco with a willingness to travel up to 30 %. This position requires a hands‑on, organized, and detail‑oriented person able to work in a fast‑paced environment. The candidate should be comfortable making cold calls, learning customer needs and presenting Formulatrix solutions.

Being able to demonstrate our unique solutions in person, at customer sites, is critical.

• Experience selling capital equipment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Technically interested and savvy; quick to learn technical products and give compelling presentations to prospects.
• Basic computer skills and problem‑solving.
• Responsive and organized; our market values reputation.
• Self‑motivated and proactive; you will identify new customers, follow‑up on leads, give demonstrations, provide quotations, negotiate pricing, follow‑up with purchasing, and transition post‑sales installation to the support team. Cold calling is part of the job; you should be comfortable reaching out to prospective clients.
• Able to travel as necessary to meet customers, perform demonstrations and attend trade shows.
• Must hold a valid driver’s license and demonstrate a responsible driving history.

• Experience selling to Pharma/Biotech or Academic Biology Institutions.
• Strong preference for candidates with a background in biochemistry or biological research and an understanding of lab procedures and assay development.
