The Campus Security Officer helps ensure a safe, welcoming, and orderly environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors on campus. This role involves maintaining a visible presence on campus, responding to safety concerns, enforcing school policies, and supporting the overall mission and values of the school community.

• Conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, and grounds.
• Maintain a high level of visibility to deter unsafe or unauthorized behavior.
• Monitor access to campus facilities; ensure that doors, gates, and alarms are properly secured.
• Respond promptly to emergencies, incidents, or safety concerns and follow established protocols.
• Provide support during school events, including traffic direction, visitor assistance, and crowd management.
• Document incidents, observations, and actions taken through clear and timely written reports.
• Build positive, respectful relationships with students, faculty, and staff, acting as a supportive and approachable presence.
• Assist with emergency drills (fire, lockdown, evacuation) and help maintain safety equipment.
• Collaborate with administration and outside agencies when needed.
• Uphold the school’s mission, values, confidentiality expectations, and community standards.

• Prior experience in security, law enforcement, military, or a related field preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm, professional, and decisive in emergencies.
• Basic first aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire).
• Ability to walk or stand for extended periods and work in varying weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license and background check clearance required.
