Overview
Right of Way Designer (Project Management)
GPI is seeking a full-time Right of Way Designer to work within our New England Survey Team out of either our Wilmington, MA or Salem, NH offices. We are looking for motivated individuals to work on DOT projects as well as private sector projects. GPI is a multi-discipline engineering firm providing planning, design, and construction services for transportation infrastructure and building system projects throughout the United States for over 50 years.

- Creating and editing CAD Drawings for Right of Way plans and Easement/Taking plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D (required) and Open Roads Designer (preferred)
- Ability to read and understand sketches, maps, deeds, plans, and other record drawings, and compile in a CAD drawing
- Ability to read and understand Civil/Highway/Bridge construction plans and evaluate construction impacts to private property outside of the public Right of Way
- Familiarity with MassDOT and NHDOT Right of Way processes and requirements is preferred but not required
- Familiarity with other New England State DOT Right of Way processes and requirements is a plus

- Registry of Deeds research experience
- 2+ years of Right of Way or Land Surveying experience required
- AutoCAD Civil 3D experience is required
- Basic computer skills
- Familiarity with basic Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Familiarity with Bluebeam is preferred but not required
- EIT or LSIT a plus
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
