Bedford Pet Urgent Care is located within Bedford Veterinary Medical Center, a state‑of‑the‑art, multi‑doctor hospital that offers personal, progressive, and comprehensive animal care to dogs, cats and pocket pets in the Southern New Hampshire area. The hospital provides services such as annual wellness care, anesthesia and sedation, dentistry, internal medicine, laser therapy, in‑house pharmacy, surgery, urgent/immediate care and acupuncture, and is equipped with ultrasound, digital radiography, dental X‑ray and an in‑house laboratory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safely restrain animals using low‑stress handling techniques
  • Triage and assess incoming patients to prioritize care
  • Collect and analyze laboratory samples (blood, urine, fecal, skin, etc.)
  • Perform diagnostic imaging and capture radiographs accurately
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
  • Monitor anesthesia and assist with surgical prep, procedures and recovery
  • Provide high‑quality nursing care to stable and critical patients
  • Accurately document patient histories and interpret medical records
  • Communicate treatment plans clearly and compassionately to clients
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1 year veterinary technician experience (required)
  • Flexibility to work rotating weekends (required)

  • Understanding of preventative care, hospital workflow, and surgical procedures
