Job LocationOnsite:
This position has been designated as onsite.
- Commissioning, programming, setting up graphics, communications link, end‑to‑end testing, troubleshooting and servicing on assigned projects.
- Documenting point‑to‑point verification, sequence of operations validation and job close‑out requirements.
- Representing the company by serving as the direct customer contact and ensuring customer satisfaction by diagnosing and repairing equipment and systems at customer’s location.
- Coordinating with team leader and customer to precisely understand requirements for all on‑site installation and repairs by forecasting issues, gathering materials and synchronizing on‑site work.
- Keeping current on Trane products concerning installation, operation, maintenance, service, and repair of direct digital control systems.
- Enforcing safety to the highest standards and maintaining security and accountability of company‑issued and procured assets by recording use, wear and conditions.
- Demonstrating team effort and dedication to customers by maintaining flexibility to work overtime and weeks as the business requires, including occasional overnight stays.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required, and typically at least 5+ years of experience in HVAC/Controls. Technical School or formal training preferred.
- Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software and working proficiency with handheld computer (i.e., Smartphone, iPad).
- Valid driver’s license for a minimum of 12 months with no major or frequent traffic violations.
- Previous experience with DDC controls system preferred.
- Safe operation of a vehicle using a seat belt.
- Use of helmets, safety goggles, fall protection harness and safety boots.
- Twisting the trunk of the body 90° in each direction.
- Squatting and touching the floor with both hands.
- Reaching hands over the head.
- Standing on concrete surfaces for extended periods, routinely up to 4 hours.
- The role requires regular use of hands, fingers, walking, stooping, kneeling and climbing ladders. Employees must lift or move up to 10 lbs., frequently lift or move up to 40 lbs., and occasionally lift or move more than 40 lbs.
- Use a ladder with a 3‑75 lb. total weight limit while carrying equipment of 50 lbs. or less.
