Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour

APEC Engineering Inc. is an engineering firm located in Bedford, OH that specializes in custom design/build for industrial applications and processes. APEC is a dynamic, fast-paced company with a team-based approach where employees work closely to meet the varied needs of the industry. We are currently seeking an individual who has general power tool experience to join our manufacturing team as a Shipper, Receiver, and Assembler.

• Work with the manufacturing team to complete work orders by the defined deadline.
• Communicate roadblocks, delays, and/or design issues to the project manager.

• Receive incoming materials and organize them by project and category.
• Package, palletize, and/or crate outgoing products and projects for shipment.
• Relay shipping details to the Purchaser electronically.

• Contribute to continuous systems and standards improvement.
• Implement systems and standards to complete position tactical tasks effectively and efficiently.
• Create and promote systemized communication channels with customers, employees, contractors, and vendors to effectively complete project tasks.
• Maintain APEC shipping and receiving equipment.
• Implement and exercise the 5S Methodology (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain).
• Train and assist new employees on company policies.
• Train new employees on systems, standards, and methods associated with your specific area.
• Implement continuous training with existing employees on systems standards, and methods associated with your specific area.
• Mentor, teach and direct team members.

• Ability to electronically record time, interact by email, and use the Employee Portal.
• Clear, concise, respectful, and professional communication skills – oral and written with team members and customers.
• Ability to work in fast paced work environment with a team-based structure.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Installation experience with prior training.
• A sense of urgency to complete tasks efficiently to meet deadlines.
• Knowledge and experience with basic hand tools, power tools, and forklift.
