- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience operating pleating or similar textile machinery.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to perform machine adjustments.
- Ability to read and interpret production orders, technical drawings, and quality standards.
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
- Experience with industrial pleating machines in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance procedures for textile machinery.
- Basic computer skills for logging production data and communicating with team members.
- Knowledge of workplace safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to work flexible shifts and overtime as needed.
- Set up and calibrate pleating machines according to production specifications and material requirements.
- Monitor machine operation continuously to ensure consistent pleat quality and adherence to safety standards.
- Inspect finished products for defects, dimensions, and quality, making adjustments as necessary to maintain standards.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of pleating equipment to ensure optimal functionality and longevity.
- Collaborate with production supervisors and quality control teams to report issues and implement process improvements.
- Maintain accurate production records, including machine settings, output quantities, and any incidents or adjustments.
- Follow all workplace safety protocols and contribute to a clean and organized work environment.
The Pleater Operator utilizes mechanical skills daily to set up and adjust pleating machines, ensuring that each product meets precise specifications.
