PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITY

This position reports to the Director of Finance and is responsible for managing all accounting and payroll functions within the organization. Responsibilities include financial, tax, and other regulatory reporting.

Regular full-time attendance is required during normal working hours.

EDUCATION

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of 5 years of previous experience in an automated accounting environment, preparing financial statements and working with the general ledger, as well as subsidiary ledgers
• Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

• Certified Public Accountant license, preferred
• Extensive knowledge of general ledger accounting
• Experience with an integrated accounting system (Sage
  100, preferred)
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Strong analytical skills to evaluate accounting issues, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
• Ability to handle numerous tasks simultaneously and manage all accounting functions within the department
• Ability to work and communicate with others in a professional and helpful manner while simultaneously building credibility and rapport
