The Property Accountant will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of our portfolio while collaborating with property managers and other stakeholders.
Responsibilities- Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements and reports for assigned properties.
- Perform bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accounted for.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.
- Conduct cash flow analysis to monitor liquidity and financial stability.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts for property operations.
- Ensure compliance with accrual accounting principles and relevant regulations.
- Collaborate with legal teams regarding wills, trusts, and estate law as it pertains to property management.
- Provide support during audits by preparing necessary documentation and reports.
- Proven experience in property accounting or a similar role is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles, including accrual accounting and cash flow analysis.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders.
- Previous experience with Real Page/Onesite highly preferred.
