MailroomProcessor
A Mailroom Processor is responsible for handling and processing all company mail. Incumbents in this position are expected to accurately sort and distribute incoming mail and prepare outgoing mail with an emphasis on turning around all mail relating to the National Service Center at a quicker pace.
Essential Functions- Receives all incoming mail, interdepartmental mail, memos etc: sorts and distributes according to appropriate destination and within timeliness guidelines.
- Picks up, sorts and prepares all outbound mail with appropriate postage.
- Runs folding/insert equipment for all notices and policies in preparation for mailing.
- Completes the filing and archiving of account documentation as required.
- Prepare overnight packages as specified by user department for a variety of carriers.
- Assist Supervisor in the general maintenance of the facility as directed.
- Good oral communication skills.
- Good organization skills.
- Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner.
- Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems.
- High school Diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior experience in a similar environment preferred with experience and knowledge of postal equipment operation.
- Current driver’s license and good driving record with the ability to meet company insurance requirements.
- US Work Authorization required. Markel does not provide visa sponsorship for this position, now or in the future.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds required.
- Standard office equipment: computers, printers, phones, fax machine, and copier.
