Overview
The Engineer Technologists will be assigned to a project that requires utility pole design mapping. They will be given survey packets of the poles they are mapping. These surveys were collected by field personnel. Using the survey data, they will digitally create the design distribution map showing the geographic locations and assets (wires, boxes, etc.) attached to each pole.
Base pay range$20.00/hr - $23.00/hr
Responsibilities- Digitally create design distribution maps from survey packets, including geographic locations and attached assets for each utility pole.
- Associate's Degree or non-ABET accredited Bachelor's in a relevant field such as Design, Drafting, Structural, Mechanical Technology, Architecture, etc.
- 0-3 years of experience in design, drafting, GIS, or related telecom, fiber, networking, engineering, construction, or utilities work.
- Valid Texas driver's license.
- Experience with CAD, AutoCAD, Katapult, Spidacalc, or similar software.
- Power Distribution Software, Maximo, Engineering Work Management Systems (WMS, GDT), or design manager software.
- Experience with pole distribution software, GIS, or related utility field software.
- Previous experience in power, energy, utilities, construction, or related fields.
Exact compensation may vary based on factors including skills, experience, and education.
