Here’s What You Need

• Associate’s Degree in Ultrasound Technology Graduate of accredited ultrasound program (required)
• ARDMS – American Registry for Diagnostic and Medical Sonographers (required)
• 2 years related experience (required)

OB/GYN Experience (strongly Preferred)

Be familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within the field. Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism.

• Must have experience performing gynecological and obstetrical sonograms including:
• Normal and abnormal pelvic anatomy
• Fetal anatomy and biophysical profile
• Fetal anomalies, including ectopic pregnancies
• Appropriate measurement techniques in transabdominal and endovaginal scanning
• Ability to identify what is expected to be seen in all three trimesters of pregnancy
• Comfortable verbally explaining all techniques and views to physician and patient

What You Will Do

• Deliver care to patients utilizing the Ultrasonographer process.
• Perform diagnostic sonographic examinations using ultrasonic equipment to locate, evaluate, and record critical functional, pathological, and anatomical data.
• Prepare the room for examination, greet patients, and educate patients on procedural information as needed.
• May schedule and coordinate tests.
• Process and manipulate images, analyze image quality, and troubleshoot as needed.
• Properly record test results.
• Operate, care for, and maintain equipment.
• Prepare and maintain operational logs and document malfunctions as needed.
• Maintain equipment and room to sanitary standards.
• Stock and order supplies as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
