Public Relations Specialist

Daystar Television Network is seeking a dynamic and mission-driven Public Relations Specialist to join our headquarters location in Bedford, Texas. Responsibilities include help amplify our voice, strengthen our public reach, and elevate the mission of spreading the Gospel through media. This role requires a skilled communicator with strong strategic instincts and a passion for sharing stories that inspire, uplift, and impact the world.

Must be a Christian committed to the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.

MUST HAVE PROVEN PR EXPERIENCE. THIS POSITION IS LOCAL IN BEDFORD, TEXAS

• Develop, write, and distribute press releases, media advisories, feature stories, and network announcements.
• Build relationships with media outlets, journalists, influencers, and Christian platforms to expand network exposure.
• Strategically pitch story ideas, interviews, and segment opportunities for Daystar leadership and programs.
• Maintain and grow a media contact database for both Christian and mainstream press.

• Ensure consistent voice, messaging, and presentation across all PR materials.
• Protect and strengthen the Daystar brand through positive public positioning.
• Assist with internal and external communications to align messaging across the organization.

• Coordinate publicity for special programming, conferences, guest appearances, book releases, and network initiatives.
• Manage media interviews, pre-appearance briefing materials, and follow-up press engagement.
• Support live broadcast publicity and cross-platform promotional efforts.

• Oversee or collaborate with digital teams to ensure PR messaging is represented across social platforms.
• Monitor online conversations, public sentiment, and media coverage to provide reputation-management insight.
• Work with marketing and content departments to develop promotional language for shows, series, and public campaigns.

• Assist in the development of timely responses to media inquiries.
• Provide reputation-protection recommendations and craft crisis-appropriate messaging when necessary.

• Background in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Broadcasting, or related field.
• Strong writing ability, media awareness, and comfort working with journalists and public-facing entities.
• Ability to develop compelling, story-driven messaging that aligns with Daystar’s mission and values.
• Professional, organized, resourceful, and emotionally composed under deadline.
• Passion for Christian media and advancing the Gospel through communication and storytelling.
