Work location: Texas Health HEB, 1600 Hospital Parkway, Bedford, TX 76022

Work hours: Full-time, Night Shift, 36 hours weekly, 3-12 hour shifts, 6:30 pm – 6:30 am (self-scheduling)

L&D Department Highlights
  • The Siratt Women’s Center at Texas Health Hurst Euless Bedford (HEB) Hospital has a full-time opportunity for an experienced Labor and Delivery (L&D) RN.
  • 9 bed L&D unit and 4 bed OB ED, 3 OR suites unit with an average of 200 deliveries a month.
  • Level III NICU.
  • Maternal Designation III.
  • Wide range of patients and plans of care – nitrous oxide, midwifery, and high-risk patients.

Here’s What You Need
  • Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma required; BSN preferred.
  • RN – Registered Nurse upon hire required.
  • BCLS – Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to independent patient care; maintained quarterly required.
  • ACLS – within 90 days of hire.
  • NRP – within 90 days of hire.
  • NRPA – within 90 days of hire.
  • CPI – Crisis Prevention Intervention Training within 90 days of hire.
  • 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse or completion of an RN residency program required.
  • 1 year of RN experience in L&D strongly preferred.
What You Will Do

Deliver care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process:

  • Assess the patient.
  • Plan the care of the patient.
  • Intervene as appropriate.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of interventions.
  • Incorporate age-specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.
  • Initiate action to meet patient and/or significant others' needs for information.
  • Maintain continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out-of-hospital transfers.
