- Plan, organize, delegate, direct, negotiate, and evaluate Adult Critical Care services and personnel, aligning with hospital mission, vision, and goals.
- Collaborate with other department leaders to coordinate nursing care functions in adult critical care in accordance with recognized nursing techniques, standards, and administrative policies.
- Maintain effective communication across the team.
- Develop and recommend policies, procedures, or programs to improve quality, safety, efficiency, and effectiveness of patient care within the specialty area, in collaboration with medical staff and other disciplines.
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing required; advanced degree preferred.
- Five years’ progressive management experience, preferably in a hospital setting, including leadership of personnel, payroll, budget development, business planning, and building physician relationships.
- Current RN license in Texas or a compact license.
- Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS provider.
- Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross ACLS provider.
- CCRN and/or CNRN preferred.
