Program DetailsSeasonal Program Requirements – Seasonal PRN Status with a Full‑Time Schedule – Program runs 09/21/25 to 04/04/26.
Emergency Department Specialty Rate: $62/hr plus applicable differentials.
- All seasonal RNs are required to work a minimum of 72 hours per pay period during the seasonal period.
- Within a close geography, you may be asked to float to another facility that has an emergent staffing need.
- Four (4) weekend shifts are required each 4‑week schedule period.
- During the 32‑week period, the employee is required to work two (2) holiday shifts as defined by the Department Manager.
- Seasonal staff are PRN status employees and are subject to first call‑off; there are no guaranteed hours.
- Seasonal staff will not be eligible for benefits except a 401(k) and retirement contribution per the PRN policy.
- Seasonal staff will not be eligible for extra shift bonuses.
- Registered nurses who are in the seasonal program will have one opportunity to pass the clinical competency evaluation.
- Current employees are not eligible to join the seasonal program for 2025‑26.
- Current employees of HWS are not eligible for the seasonal program.
- Shifts may vary based on departmental needs.
- Assess patient pain regularly to promote effective pain management, including reassessments after appropriate intervention.
- Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s), and document care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
- Respond promptly to patient requests and anticipate needs to resolve them proactively.
- Teach patients/families/caregivers about patient condition, treatment plan, medications, and possible side effects.
- Translate complex medical terminology for complete understanding.
- Educate patients/families about non‑medicinal follow‑up measures such as healthy diet, exercise, disease prevention, and lifestyle changes to prepare for self‑management.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support (ALS) must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.
- uma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
- Registered Nurse (RN) with an Associate Degree.
- Non‑violent Crisis Intervention or Satori Alternatives Management/Agreements training, obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
