Seasonal Neurovascular ICU Registered Nurse

We are looking for qualified nurses to join our team in Medical City Dallas, part of HCA Healthcare.

Program Details
  • Seasonal PRN status with a full‑time days 7A‑7P schedule – program runs 9/21/25 to 4/4/26.
  • Neurovascular ICU specialty rate: $62/hr plus applicable differentials.
  • All seasonal RNs required to work a minimum of 72 hours per pay period during the seasonal period.
  • Monthly float to another facility with emergent staffing need may be requested within close geography.
  • Four (4) weekend shifts are required each 4‑week schedule period.
  • Two (2) holiday shifts required over the 32‑week period.
  • Seasonal staff subject to first call‑off. No guaranteed hours.
  • Seasonal staff will not be eligible for benefits, except 401(k) and retirement contribution per PRN policy.
  • Seasonal staff will not be eligible for extra shift bonuses.
  • Registered Nurses in seasonal program will have one opportunity to pass clinical competency evaluation.
  • Current employees of HWS are not eligible for seasonal program.
  • Shifts may vary based on department needs.
Job Summary and Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high‑quality, patient‑centered care in accordance with the nature and specific requirements of the department.

  • Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s).
  • Document administration of care in the patient medical record promptly.
  • Teach patients/families/caregivers about the condition, treatment plan, medication, side effects, and follow‑up measures.
  • Translate complex medical terminology to ensure complete understanding.
  • Teach about non‑medicinal follow‑up measures such as diet, exercise, disease prevention, and lifestyle changes.
  • Prepare patients and families for self‑management.
  • Manage evidence‑based practices and continuous process improvement initiatives to meet quality measures.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate, evaluate, customize, and deliver a holistic patient treatment plan.
Qualifications
  • Possession of Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of employment start.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of employment start.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Associate Degree or BSN required with 12‑month enrollment and 24‑month completion.
  • Minimum 1 year ICU RN experience.
