Sales Ledger Assistant

Your new company A well-established and growing business based in Keynsham is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Sales Ledger Assistant to join its finance team on a temporary to permanent basis. Your new role Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the sales ledger, ensuring customer accounts are accurately maintained and invoices are processed efficiently.

Key Responsibilities Raising and processing customer invoices accurately and in a timely manner Managing the sales ledger and maintaining customer account records Allocating cash receipts and reconciling customer accounts Chasing outstanding debts via telephone and email Producing customer statements and aged debtor reports Investigating and resolving invoice queries and payment disputes Building positive relationships with customers and internal stakeholders Assisting with month-end sales ledger reconciliations Supporting credit control activities and reducing overdue debt Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation Assisting the wider finance team with ad hoc administrative and accounting duties as required What you'll need to succeed Previous experience in a Sales Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Credit Control or Finance Assistant position Good working knowledge of accounting systems and Microsoft Excel Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy Excellent communication and customer service skills Ability to manage workload effectively and meet deadlines A proactive and organised approach to work What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
