Role: Apprenticeship Liaison Officer

Location: Bedford College – Cauldwell Street Campus

Salary/Benefits: Salary is between £24,552 and £26,754 per annum DOE and Qualifications

Contract Type: Permanent – Full Time

About the role:

We are currently seeking an Apprenticeship Liaison Officer to join our Apprenticeships department at The Bedford College Group.

  • Apprenticeship Enrolment & Compliance - Manage and support the end-to-end apprenticeship enrolment process, carrying out compliance checks, verifying eligibility, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring adherence to ESFA funding rules and college policies.
  • Funding, Systems & Data Management - Reserve apprenticeship funding, resolve Apprenticeship Service data issues, manage enrolment documentation and One File accounts, register learners with EPAOs, and produce accurate reports to support audits and performance monitoring.
  • Stakeholder Support & Communication - Work closely with employers, Business Development, Training Coordinators, Registry and Maths & English teams to ensure apprentices are enrolled efficiently and receive timely support throughout the onboarding process.
  • Administration, Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement - Support internal and external audits, maintain documentation, respond to apprenticeship enquiries, monitor service standards and KPIs, and contribute to process improvements across apprenticeship operations.
  • Collaboration, Flexibility & Professional Standards - Support activities across multiple campuses, assist with events and examinations, adapt to changing priorities, and promote safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion, health and safety, and ongoing professional development.
About you:
  • Qualifications & Administrative Expertise - Holds relevant GCSEs and business administration/ICT qualifications, with proven experience in office administration, data entry, report production, business correspondence, and the effective use of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Data Management & Organisational Skills - Skilled in maintaining accurate records, producing reports and data analysis, managing multiple priorities, meeting deadlines, and creating efficient systems and documentation processes.
  • Communication & Customer Service - Experienced in handling enquiries from a wide range of stakeholders, providing accurate information and advice, and delivering a professional, high-quality service to learners, employers, and colleagues.
  • Problem Solving, Teamwork & Professional Development - Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills, initiative, adaptability, continuous learning, effective problem solving, and a positive contribution to team success and organisational objectives.
  • Flexibility, Safeguarding & Professional Conduct - Willing to work across multiple campuses and remotely, committed to understanding apprenticeship processes, and dedicated to safeguarding children and young people while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries.
