Mac Gregor Black is partnering with an engineering service business on the search for a Procurement Buyer. This is a perm role based in Bedford.

• Researching, selecting, and negotiating with suppliers to secure favourable prices, quality, and delivery schedules.
• Processing requisitions, placing orders, and monitoring the full purchasing lifecycle to ensure timely delivery.
• Monitoring inventory levels and working with warehouse and stores teams to avoid shortages or excess stock, with consideration for Product Lifecycle Management
• Adhering to budgets and identifying opportunities for cost savings or cost avoidance.
• Ensuring products meet UCC standards and coordinating with internal teams to maintain reporting systems and data

• CIPs level 2 (or above) desirable
• Direct and / or indirect experience (you will cover both)
• Ability to build a robust procurement function
