Summary of the Construction Estimator role
Salary: £60,000
Location:
Bedford

Hours:
Monday – Thursday 8.30am-5pm, Friday 8.30am-4.30pm
Responsibilities of the Construction Estimator
Prepare cost estimates, tender pricing and bid submissions
Review drawings, specifications, and project documentation
Obtain and analyse quotations
Quantity take-offs and cost analysis
Highlight potential risks
Communicate effectively with clients, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors
Support project handovers
Requirements for a successful Construction Estimator
Previous experience in estimating within commercial/industrial construction
Solid knowledge of construction methods and materials
Competence in interpreting technical drawings and specifications
Strong numerical ability alongside analytical and communication skills
Skilled in Microsoft Office and relevant estimating software
Capable of meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
