Quantity Surveyor

Location:

Bedfordshire with hybrid working (2 days in office, mixture between site and home).

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a growing team delivering projects across the minor civils and landscaping projects. This role will be based between Bedfordshire and London. The successful candidate will play a key role in the commercial management of projects, ensuring costs are effectively controlled while maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.

• Manage the commercial aspects of multiple civils, earthworks and remediation projects.
• Prepare and manage project budgets, cost forecasts and financial reports.
• Administer and manage contracts, with a strong focus on NEC forms of contract.
• Manage subcontractor procurement, negotiation and payments.
• Identify, value and manage variations and change events.
• Work closely with project managers and site teams to ensure commercial performance.
• Prepare and submit interim valuations and final accounts.
• Ensure projects are delivered within agreed budgets and commercial targets.

• Minimum 3–4 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the civils, landscaping or minor civil projects.
• Strong working knowledge and practical experience with NEC forms of contract.
• Proven experience managing the commercial aspects of site‑based projects.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently while supporting project teams.

• Competitive salary of £50,000 – £65,000 depending on experience.
