Regulatory Compliance Specialist
Utilities Manager – Bedfordshire
Purpose of the role:
We are looking for an experienced Utilities Manager to lead and coordinate all utility works across the West Gateway Zone Project. Acting as the key liaison between project stakeholders, you will develop and manage the utilities diversion strategy, ensuring works are planned and delivered efficiently to support the wider construction programme.
- Lead and coordinate utility works to support successful project delivery.
- Build positive working relationships with statutory undertakers, stakeholders, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Monitor progress, identify risks and constraints, and provide clear and timely project updates.
- Maintain accurate utility records, diversion plans, and as‑built information.
- Coordinate meetings with stakeholders and utility providers to support effective communication and collaboration.
- Develop and manage detailed utility programmes aligned to the overall project schedule.
- Promote safe working practices and ensure compliance with relevant standards, Codes of Practice, and Health & Safety requirements.
- Proven experience managing utility processes, contractors, and statutory undertakers.
- Strong understanding of utility infrastructure and civil engineering environments.
- Experience working with utility service providers and asset owners, building effective working relationships.
- Good knowledge of the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991.
- Experience working across multi‑disciplinary projects and managing utility constraints.
- Competent in the use of AutoCAD and related software packages.
