The role of the Groundworker involves preparing and maintaining construction sites by carrying out a range of manual and operative tasks. The post holder ensures that groundwork activities are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with project specifications. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within a team on varied construction projects.

• Excavate and prepare foundations, trenches, and other groundworks using hand tools and machinery as required.
• Lay foundations, install drainage systems, and prepare site surfaces for further construction works.
• Operate powered mechanical plant safely, including mini diggers, dumpers, and compactors, following relevant safety procedures.
• Assist with the installation of concrete, kerbing, block paving, and other groundwork materials.
• Ensure all materials and tools are handled and stored appropriately to maintain site organisation and safety.
• Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
