We are seeking an experienced Senior Architect / Senior Technologist to join a busy and well-established Commercial Architecture team based in Bedford. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong professional to deliver complex commercial projects, take ownership of technical design, and contribute to high-quality developments across the UK.

The Senior Architect / Senior Technologist will play a key role in the delivery of projects across a range of commercial sectors including retail, industrial, logistics, office and education. You will lead the production and coordination of detailed construction packages, support projects through to site, and ensure delivery to the highest technical and regulatory standards.

You will act as a primary point of contact for clients and consultants, manage multiple project deadlines, and take project leadership responsibility where required. This role suits someone who combines technical excellence with strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.

• Lead projects across all RIBA work stages with a strong focus on technical delivery
• Produce, manage and coordinate detailed drawings and construction information
• Coordinate and review consultant information to ensure seamless design integration
• Maintain clear and effective communication with clients, consultants and internal teams
• Undertake site visits independently and prepare accurate reports and records
• Ensure compliance with Building Regulations, planning requirements and statutory processes
• Manage competing deadlines and contribute to budget awareness
• Represent the practice at industry and networking events when required

The successful Senior Architect / Senior Technologist must have:

• Part 3 RIBA / ARB qualified or MCIAT with a minimum of 8 years' post-qualification experience
• Proven track record delivering complex commercial architecture projects
• Strong technical design, detailing and coordination expertise
• Proficient in AutoCAD and 3D modelling software (essential)
• Experienced in producing NBS specifications (essential)
• Working knowledge of Revit, Sketch Up, Photoshop and presentation software (desirable)
• Portfolio demonstrating both design capability and technical delivery
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as projects require
