We're working with a well-established, employee-owned, multi-disciplinary built environment consultancy to recruit an experienced Senior Architect or Senior Architectural Technologist to join their Commercial Architecture team in Bedford.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly respected practice with nearly 60 years' experience, known for delivering high-quality commercial, retail, logistics, industrial, office, and education projects nationwide. The RoleThis position sits within the Commercial Architecture team and will suit a technically strong professional with proven experience delivering complex commercial schemes across multiple RIBA stages.
You'll take a lead role in the technical development and coordination of projects, producing detailed construction information and supporting delivery through to site.
Key responsibilities- Leading and coordinating technical design from RIBA Stages 1-6
- Producing planning, tender and construction packages
- Acting as project lead where required, managing deadlines and information flow
- Coordinating consultant information and integrating it into design outputs
- Attending client meetings, design team meetings and site visits
- Ensuring compliance with Building Regulations and statutory requirements
- Supporting and mentoring junior team members
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
We're keen to speak with candidates who can demonstrate both design strength and technical expertise, alongside confidence running projects independently.
Essential experience and qualifications- Part 3 ARB/RIBA qualified Architect or MCIAT Senior Technologist
- Minimum 8 years' post-qualification experience
- Strong background in commercial architecture
- Excellent working knowledge of Building Regulations
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D modelling software
- Experience delivering projects through to construction and site
- Experience with NBS specifications
- Working knowledge of Revit, Sketch Up, Photoshop and presentation software
- Full UK driving licence
