Senior Architectural Technician
Location:
Bedford
Salary: £40-45,000
A well respected, multidisciplinary architectural practice in Bedford is seeking a Senior Architectural Technician to join its expanding team. The practice has an excellent reputation for delivering thoughtfully designed, high quality projects across a range of sectors including residential, commercial, and mixed use developments. This role offers the opportunity to take a leading technical position within the business while helping to guide and develop junior staff.

- Prepare comprehensive technical drawings and construction packages from initial design stages through to project completion
- Assist with the preparation of planning applications and Building Regulations documentation
- Work closely with external consultants, contractors, and internal design teams to support smooth project coordination
- Attend site visits and provide technical support throughout the construction process
- Ensure all drawings and documentation meet current UK Building Regulations and industry standards
- Provide guidance, training, and mentoring to junior members of the technical team
- Support internal quality assurance procedures and maintain well organised project information
- Qualification in Architectural Technology or a similar construction related discipline
- Solid background in producing technical information within a UK based architectural environment
- Competent user of Revit and AutoCAD, with experience of BIM processes being an advantage
- Strong understanding of UK Building Regulations, construction methods, and technical detailing
- Previous involvement in residential and or commercial sector projects
- Clear and confident communication skills with strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage workloads independently while working effectively as part of a team environment
