Supply Teaching Assistant - ASD & Social Communication Needs

£90 - £110 per day (dependent on experience) | Flexible, Ongoing Supply Work

Are you a compassionate and adaptable Teaching Assistant who thrives in environments where every day brings new opportunities to support children? A friendly specialist school in Bedford is seeking supply Teaching Assistants to provide flexible cover across their setting. The school works with learners aged 4-19 with Profound, Multiple and Complex Learning Needs, alongside pupils with Autism and Social Communication challenges.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who values child-centred practice and enjoys making a meaningful difference, even in short-term placements.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with ASD and social communication needs

* Help maintain a calm, structured, and inclusive learning environment

* Support pupils with daily routines, communication development, and social skills

* Work collaboratively with onsite staff to ensure consistency and wellbeing for each learner

Key Requirements:

* Experience supporting children or young people with ASD or Social Communication needs

* A calm, nurturing, and proactive approach

* Clear communication skills and the ability to build positive rapport quickly

* Flexibility to work across different classes and age groups
