Supply Teaching Assistant – ASD & Social Communication Needs

Location:

Bedford (MK8) | 90‑110 per day (dependent on experience) | Flexible, ongoing supply work.

We are a friendly specialist school in Bedford, supporting learners aged 4‑19 with Profound, Multiple and Complex Learning Needs, alongside pupils with Autism and Social Communication challenges. We seek compassionate Teaching Assistants to provide flexible cover across our setting.

• Provide 1:1 and small‑group support for pupils with ASD and social communication needs.
• Help maintain a calm, structured, and inclusive learning environment.
• Support pupils with daily routines, communication development, and social skills.
• Work collaboratively with onsite staff to ensure consistency and wellbeing for each learner.

• Experience supporting children or young people with ASD or social communication needs.
• A calm, nurturing, and proactive approach.
• Clear communication skills and ability to build positive rapport quickly.
• Flexibility to work across different classes and age groups.
