Lecturer – Beauty Therapy
Location: Bedford College – Brooks Salon
Salary/Benefits: £33,048–£38,169 per annum DOE and Qualifications; 45 days annual leave plus Bank holidays;
Teacher's pension;
Retail and Leisure Discounts; access to college courses.
Hours/Weeks: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year (part‑time applicants considered).
Contract Type: Permanent – Full Time
Eligibility: Must have Right to Work in the UK.
About the roleLecturer in Beauty Therapy to join the Hair and Beauty department at The Bedford College Group.
Responsibilities- Deliver Beauty Therapy Courses – Teach and assess Level 1–3 programs including massage and nail technology.
- Support Student Success – Guide learners through tutorials, monitor progress and help them achieve their potential.
- Innovate Curriculum & Teaching – Develop schemes of work, create new learning materials, contribute to enrichment.
- Manage Administration & Quality – Complete reports, maintain records, implement quality processes, participate in marketing and college events.
- Uphold College Standards – Promote safeguarding, equality, health & safety and engage in continuous professional development.
- Qualified in Beauty Therapy – Relevant qualifications, GCSE English/Maths; teaching qualification or willingness to achieve.
- Industry & Teaching Experience – Recent experience and strong classroom management and student support skills.
- Exceptional Communication & Organisation – Excellent verbal and written communication, organisational, prioritisation and interpersonal skills.
- Technical & Professional Competence – High numeracy, proficient in Microsoft Office, handles sensitive data confidentially, works effectively under pressure.
- Values‑Driven & Flexible – Adheres to safeguarding, equality and health & safety policies; able to travel, adapt hours, maintain professional boundaries.
