Room Leader- Pre-School

Banana Moon Kempston is a thriving nursery looking for an enthusiastic, energetic, and motivational Senior to lead our Pre School room. This is an exciting opportunity to help lead a setting where we focus on encouraging children to be children, learning through fun and engaging play. You will be working with a dedicated team in a caring, family friendly, characterful, and stimulating environment which is inviting to children, families, and staff.

The Pre School Senior will have responsibility as a Room Leader alongside supporting the management with leadership of the team in the daily running of the nursery.

• Support the operation of the nursery facilities and staff to ensure a high quality, balanced provision of leading practice education and care is delivered.
• Ensure adherence to Banana Moon policies and procedures and that legislative requirements and the education curriculum are followed, delivering standards which support strong inspection outcomes.
• Assist with training, support, mentoring, role modelling, and supervision of the staff team, inspiring ambitious practice and creating a safe, caring, and welcoming setting for families.
• Engage with the local community and contribute to marketing the nursery while providing excellent customer care.

• A full and relevant Level 3 qualification.
• DBS enhanced disclosure within the child workforce sector.
• At least 1 year's experience in a nursery setting.
• Satisfactory answers to our Staff Suitability Declaration.
• Paediatric 12hr First Aid certificate – desired but not essential.
• Safeguarding training and qualification – desired but not essential.
