We have an exciting opening for an enthusiastic, committed Teacher of Science to join our Science Department at Lincroft Academy. You will be an excellent classroom practitioner, with the passion and drive to inspire a love of learning in our students, while becoming an expert in your field.

The Opportunity
  • To work collaboratively within a vibrant department.
  • To teach challenging and enjoyable lessons across all key stages.
  • Confidently share new ideas, during staff meetings.
  • Set goals that stretch and challenge pupils of all backgrounds, abilities, and dispositions.
  • Be aware of pupils’ capabilities and their prior knowledge, and plan teaching to build on these.
  • Encourage pupils to take a responsible and conscientious attitude to their own work and study.
The ideal candidate
  • Has Qualified Teacher Status and a good educational background including a good Honours Degree or equivalent.
  • Can evidence both curricular and pastoral responsibilities.
  • Understands and is committed to teaching standards.
  • Has high personal standards in terms of attendance, punctuality and organising workload.
  • Is an excellent communicator with great interpersonal skills.
  • Has a positive, enthusiastic, and professional approach towards work.
  • Has a willingness to undergo further training and development.
