Lecturer – Business and Accounting
Join The Bedford College Group to teach and develop students in the Business and Accounting department.
Role Details- Location:
Bedford College – Cauldwell Street Campus - Salary: £33,048 – £38,169 per annum (pro‑ratata), based on experience and qualifications
- Annual Leave: 45 days (pro‑ratata) plus bank holidays
- Benefits:

- Contract:
Permanent – Term Time - Eligibility: UK‑based contract, Right to Work in the UK required; no sponsorship offered
- Deliver T‑Level Accounting – prepare, teach and assess students on the T‑Level Accounting course.
- Support Student Success – guide and motivate learners to achieve their full potential and meet required standards.
- Ensure Quality Learning – create engaging lessons, monitor progress and maintain high‑quality learning environments.
- Champion Curriculum & Development – develop schemes of work, innovate teaching methods and contribute to marketing activities.
- Uphold College Values & Compliance – promote safeguarding, equality, health & safety, and participate in training and college‑wide events.
- Qualified in Accounting – holds a relevant qualification at least one level above the course taught.
- Experienced Educator – recent teaching experience in accounting with strong classroom management skills.
- Exceptional Communication & Organisation – demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication, organisational and prioritisation skills, and strong interpersonal ability.
- Technical & Professional Competence – high numeracy, proficient in Microsoft Office, handles sensitive data confidentially and works effectively under pressure.
- Values‑Driven & Flexible – adheres to safeguarding, equality and health & safety policies; able to travel, adapt hours and maintain professional boundaries.
