SEN Teaching Assistants in Bedford
Tick Education are seeking dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants in Bedford to join our supportive team. You will work closely with teachers and the SENCo to support pupils with a range of additional needs, helping them to access learning, build confidence, and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities for SEN Teaching Assistants in Bedford
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEN (including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties)
- Support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development
- Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and support strategies
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff, and external professionals
- Support behaviour management and emotional regulation where required
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Experience working with children or young people with SEN (desirable but not essential)
- A caring, patient, and resilient approach
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- The ability to adapt support to meet individual needs
- A genuine commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
