Job AdvertWe are seeking a passionate and experienced Education Advisor to join our Virtual School team supporting young people in Key Stages 4 and 5 with a particular focus on Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children (UASC) and other vulnerable learners.
About the Role
- As an Education Advisor you will champion the educational progress and achievement of young people in care and previously looked after children ensuring they receive high quality personalised education.
- You will provide expert guidance and targeted support to schools, colleges and social care professionals on effective strategies for supporting KS4 and KS5 learners and UASC.
- Monitor and track attendance, attainment and progression to identify barriers and interventions.
- Work closely with designated teachers, social workers and post 16 providers to develop individual education plans and transition pathways.
- Deliver training and raise awareness around the educational needs and experiences of UASC and post 16 learners.
- Contribute to the Virtual Schools strategic priorities and statutory responsibilities.
This is a hybrid role with opportunities to work both in the office and at home.
