Note- Salary and annual leave entitlement is for that of a Qualified Lecturer.

We are currently seeking a Lecturer in Business to join our Business department at The Bedford College Group.
As a Lecturer, you play an important role in the success of our students through:
- Business Teaching & Assessment - Deliver and assess Levels 1 to 3 Business qualifications, including BTECs and T Levels in Management, Administration, Marketing, and Accounting, ensuring students meet awarding body standards.
- Student Support & Achievement - Provide high-quality teaching, tutorials, progress monitoring, and pastoral support to help students achieve their potential, meet deadlines, and successfully complete their programmes.
- Curriculum Development & Innovation - Develop engaging learning materials, review schemes of work, contribute to new course development, and promote innovative teaching practices that enhance the student learning experience.
- Quality Assurance & Professional Collaboration - Maintain accurate student records and reports, participate in verification, moderation, course reviews, team meetings, mentoring, and continuous improvement activities across the department.
- College Engagement & Compliance - Support open days, interviews, examinations, employer engagement, and cross-campus activities while promoting safeguarding, equality, diversity and inclusion, health and safety, and ongoing professional development.
- Qualifications & Industry Expertise - Degree-level qualification in a business-related subject, supported by industry experience within a business environment and strong English and maths skills.
- Teaching, Learning & Student Development - Able to create engaging learning materials, apply vocational experience to teaching, manage student behaviour effectively, and support learners to achieve their full potential.
- Administration, Quality & Performance - Experienced in maintaining records, monitoring and analysing data, meeting deadlines, completing student and course administration, and implementing quality assurance processes effectively.
- Communication, Teamwork & Professional Values - Strong communicator who works collaboratively with colleagues, values diversity and inclusion, contributes positively to teams, upholds College values, and maintains a professional reputation.
- Safeguarding, Compliance & Flexibility - Committed to safeguarding, health and safety, continuous professional development, maintaining appropriate professional boundaries, and working flexibly across College locations as required.
