English Lecturer

Morgan Hunt is delighted to be working with a leading Further Education provider to recruit an experienced

English Lecturer in Bedford. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver high-quality English education and support students in developing the knowledge, communication and literacy skills required for further study and employment.

Location: Bedford

Contract: Temporary

Start Date: September

Hours: Part-time - 25 hours per week

• Deliver engaging and effective English lessons across the relevant curriculum.
• Plan and deliver lessons, learning activities and assessments in line with curriculum requirements.
• Deliver

GCSE English, Functional Skills English and other relevant English programmes.

• Support students with their academic development and progression.
• Monitor learner progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain accurate records of student achievement and progress.
• Create a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
• Develop students' literacy, communication, reading and writing skills.
• Work collaboratively with the wider teaching team.
• Support students in developing the skills required for further study and employment.

We're looking for someone who has:

• Experience teaching

English within an FE or Sixth Form setting
.

• Strong subject knowledge across English and related areas.
• A recognised teaching qualification.

English, English Literature, English Language or a relevant subject
.

• Excellent communication, classroom management and organisational skills.
• Ability to engage and motivate learners.
• A genuine passion for supporting students to achieve strong academic and career outcomes.

• Functional Skills English
• Relevant FE / Sixth Form English programmes

• Further Education learners.
• Sixth Form / post-16 students, where required.
• Classroom-based delivery in Bedford.

25 hours per week

• Monday to Friday
