Math/Physics Lecturer - Bedford
Morgan Hunt is delighted to be working with a leading Further Education provider to recruit an experienced Math/Physics Lecturer in Bedford. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver high-quality Maths and Physics education and support students in developing the knowledge, skills and confidence required for further study and employment.
Location: Bedford
Salary: Competitive / Negotiable
Contract: Temporary
Start Date: September
Hours: Full-time - 37 hours per week
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging and effective Math and Physics lessons across the relevant curriculum.
- Plan and deliver lessons, learning activities and assessments in line with curriculum requirements.
- Deliver GCSE Math, Functional Skills Math, Physics and other relevant programmes.
- Support students with their academic development and progression.
- Monitor learner progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain accurate records of student achievement and progress.
- Create a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
- Use engaging teaching methods to develop students' mathematical and scientific knowledge.
- Work collaboratively with the wider teaching team.
- Support students in developing the skills required for further study and employment.
We're looking for someone who has:
- Experience teaching Math and/or Physics within an FE or Sixth Form setting.
- Strong subject knowledge across Math, Physics and related areas.
- A recognised teaching qualification.
- A degree in Mathematics, Physics, Math/Physics Education or a relevant subject.
- Experience delivering GCSE and/or Functional Skills Math and relevant Physics programmes.
- Excellent communication, classroom management and organisational skills.
- Ability to engage and motivate learners.
- A genuine passion for supporting students to achieve strong academic and career outcomes.
