Overview
The Test Engineer is responsible for testing new systems within a dedicated testing area as well as printed circuit boards (PCB) prior to their installation.
Responsibilities- Bench test printed circuit boards using an oscilloscope and multimeter, recording values within defined tolerances
- Pre-test inspections to confirm new equipment is safe to energise
- Test new equipment and record values within defined tolerances
- Troubleshooting of new equipment when measured values are outside of the specified tolerance
- Other assignments as designated by the Production Manager
- Electrical/Electronic qualification
- You will have experience of testing/fault finding electronic/electrical circuits and can follow a wiring diagram
- Troubleshoot and repair printed circuit boards down to component level
- Working with 3 phase power and high voltage batteries
- You work well both independently and within a team. You enjoy the challenge of working under pressure and to deadlines
- Organised, methodical approach with good problem-solving skills
- Good written and spoken English
- Good understanding of Word, Excel & Outlook
- You understand Electrical Safety and WEEE regulations
Skills And Abilities
- 5 years of related experience
- You will have at least a formal Electrical/Electronic qualification preferably NVQ Level 3 in Electronics or
- BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
