Professional Summary
Senior Planner with 4+ years’ experience in the UK private sector, delivering complex development projects valued between £250k and £25m. Strong background in managing planning applications from inception through determination and post-consent stages, working closely with in-house design teams, external consultants, and key stakeholders. Experienced in providing strategic planning advice, representing projects at committee, and coordinating multidisciplinary teams across the RIBA Stages.

Key Responsibilities
* Led and managed the planning process for multiple large-scale development projects, ensuring high-quality outputs and adherence to programme
* Prepared, reviewed, and signed off comprehensive planning statements and supporting reports
* Provided strategic planning advice, guiding projects through complex regulatory and policy frameworks
* Represented developments at planning committees, public consultations, stakeholder events, and meetings with local authorities and statutory bodies
* Managed and coordinated multidisciplinary teams, including architects and specialist sub-consultants
* Oversaw planning applications from pre-application stage through submission, determination, and post-decision condition management
* Played a leading role in the preparation of planning policy documents and feasibility studies for new and existing developments
* Monitored and reported on planning application progress, appeals, and related planning matters, ensuring timely completion of actions
* Advised on planning conditions, variations, and enforcement matters throughout the project lifecycle (RIBA Stages 1–6)
* Contributed to continuous improvement within the planning function, promoting high standards and best practice
Education & Professional Qualifications
* Degree in Geography, Urban Planning, or related discipline (2:1 or above)
* Chartered Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) or working towards chartered status
Additional Information
* Full UK driving licence with experience attending site visits across the UK
* Strong organisational, communication, and project management skills
