Job Summary
Senior Mechanical Systems Engineer
Location:
Bedford (commutable from Milton Keynes, Northampton, Cambridge, Kettering, Luton, Stevenage)
- £50,000-£55,000
- Day shifts (Mon‑Fri)

- Maintain and improve legacy plant and machinery.
- Design and implement new mechanical systems.
- Lead refurbishment and upgrade projects for complex industrial plant and facilities.
- Review operational data and manage suppliers.
- Support commissioning activities and drive continuous improvement across industrial equipment and infrastructure.
- Ensure reliability, safety and long‑term performance of critical plant and infrastructure.
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in an industrial engineering role involving plant, machinery or process equipment.
- Experience leading engineering projects through the full design lifecycle.
- Understanding of engineering design control and change management.
- Experience with CAD or engineering analysis software is desirable.
- Experience with control systems, electronics or engineering software is advantageous.
- Must hold a British Passport and be able to pass Security Clearance.
