About the Opportunity
My client is a well-established and highly respected civil engineering contractor with a strong reputation for delivering major highways and infrastructure projects across the UK. Due to continued growth and a significant project award, they are looking to appoint a Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of a flagship highways scheme in Bedford.

What You Will Be Doing
As the Project Manager, you will be responsible for the successful planning, coordination and delivery of a major highways project, ensuring works are completed safely, on programme and within budget.
You will be:
· Managing the day-to-day delivery of a major highways infrastructure scheme from inception through to completion.
· Leading site teams, engineers and subcontractors to achieve project objectives.
· Overseeing programme delivery, commercial performance and project budgets.
· Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and supply chain partners.
· Ensuring all works are delivered in accordance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
· Identifying and managing project risks while implementing effective mitigation strategies.
· Producing regular project reports and providing updates to senior management.
· Driving continuous improvement and ensuring high standards of project delivery throughout.
What You'll Need
To be successful in this Project Manager role, you will ideally have:
· Proven experience delivering highways or major civil engineering projects.
· Strong project management experience within the highways or infrastructure sector.
· Excellent leadership and people management skills.
· A good understanding of NEC contracts.
· Strong commercial awareness and programme management experience.
· Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
· Relevant construction or engineering qualifications, with professional membership being advantageous.
