The successful candidate will balance strategic oversight with operational delivery, ensuring robust financial management and clear reporting to senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership and direction to the finance function
- Line manage and support a small finance team
- Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and cashflow management
- Ensure strong financial controls, processes, and governance are in place
- Produce accurate and timely management accounts and financial reports
- Support senior leadership with financial insight and decision-making
- Liaise with auditors, external accountants, and other stakeholders as required
- Ensure compliance with charity and statutory financial requirements
- Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
- Proven experience in a senior finance leadership role (Finance Director / Head of Finance or similar)
- Experience managing and developing a small finance team
- Strong hands-on approach with the ability to manage operational finance tasks
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage non-financial stakeholders
