Assistant Management Accountant

Assistant Management Accountant job in Bath Your new role Reporting to the Head of Finance, the Assistant Management Accountant will play a key role in supporting the production of management accounts, budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis. This position offers excellent exposure across the finance function and would suit a candidate studying towards ACCA, CIMA or AAT. Duties will include:
Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts Produce and post accruals, prepayments and journal entries Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate variances Support month-end and year-end close processes Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities Prepare financial reports and analysis for operational stakeholders Monitor costs and provide insight into business performance Support cash flow forecasting and reporting Assist with fixed asset accounting and reconciliations Prepare VAT returns and support compliance activities Work closely with departmental managers to provide financial information Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and controls Support the wider finance team with ad hoc projects and reporting requirements What you'll need to succeed Previous experience in a finance, Assistant Accountant or Management Accounts role AAT qualified or actively studying ACCA/CIMA Strong Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs Excellent numerical and analytical abilities Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Excellent communication skills with the confidence to engage with non-finance stakeholders What you need to do now If you're interested in this role, click 'apply now' to forward an up-to-date copy of your CV, or call us now.
